WorkCover physio
with nothing to pay.
SIRA registered physiotherapy and exercise physiology for injured workers across the Inner West. On an accepted claim your insurer pays us directly.
- SIRA registered clinicians
- No gap on an accepted claim
- You choose your own physio
Three things worth knowing before you book anywhere
Most people ring us partway through a claim, having been told something that is not quite right. These are the three that come up most.
You choose your physio
In New South Wales the choice is yours. Your employer or the insurer may suggest a provider, and you are not obliged to attend them. You can also change partway through a claim without the insurer's permission.
You can start early
Under provisional liability an insurer can pay for treatment within seven days of being notified, before the claim itself is decided. You do not have to wait for an acceptance letter to begin.
There is no gap
On an accepted claim we invoice your insurer at the rates SIRA publishes. Nothing is payable by you, nothing is claimed against your private health extras.
What we do
How WorkCover Works
You do not pay for treatment on an accepted workers compensation claim. Your insurer pays us directly, at the rates SIRA sets.
Exercise Physiology
Accredited Exercise Physiologists registered with SIRA, working from a gym floor rather than a treatment table.
Physiotherapy
Every physiotherapist and exercise physiologist who treats you here is individually registered with SIRA. Their registration numbers are on the team page.
Return to Work
Getting back to your pre-injury duties, not just back to the building. The two are not the same and claims routinely stop at the first.
Injuries We Treat
Most workplace injuries here are backs, shoulders and repetitive strain. The physical demands of your job decide the rehabilitation more than the diagnosis does.
CTP & Motor Accident
Injured in a motor accident in NSW. Treatment under the CTP scheme is billed to the insurer, and you can start it before liability is decided.
A gym floor, not a treatment room
Most workers compensation rehabilitation in Sydney is delivered on a plinth with resistance bands. That is enough to settle an injury and not enough to get somebody back to lifting on a full shift.
SportsFit Five Dock is a sports and rehabilitation clinic with squat racks, plates, sleds, a turf runway and force plates. Where your job involves real load, the last stage of rehabilitation has to involve real load too, and capacity is measured rather than estimated.
Every clinician's registration number is published
A practitioner has to be registered with SIRA, the NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority, to treat and invoice on a workers compensation or CTP claim. Most clinics do not publish the numbers. Ours are on the team page, read from each clinician's own record.
